Ronnie’s story
Rosacea, when Gaye asked me to write about how I feel about my face since beginning treatment for my rosacea, the first thing to come to mind was the way I feel about myself now. After struggling with rosacea for so long, I was starting to feel that it was getting worse with age.
Over the past few years I had started to notice it getting harder to use makeup to try to cover up and hide the redness in my cheeks, especially my nose. I had become used to people asking me at functions what was wrong with my face.
Over the past 8 months, I have been dedicated to following the treatment plan that was recommended to me by Gaye; this treatment plan has been individually designed for me and my skin care needs, so naturally, in the beginning, I was expecting amazing results.
After sticking to this treatment plan, I feel that my skin is much plumper and softer, and the larger capillaries that were quite visible on my cheeks have disappeared. My skin feels much more hydrated and I’m not experiencing those moment of tightness or dryness on my face, especially after I cleanse. I’m definitely feeling more confident with how my skin looks, and I’m happy to go out without wearing as much makeup as I used to. Most surprisingly, my husband has been telling me how much better I am looking.
It hasn’t been an overnight result, I have had to put in the effort to incorporate my skincare into my daily routine and stick with it. It’s also still a work in progress, but I am happy now that I can notice the redness in my skin dissipating along with the other benefits of looking after my skin.
Products
- We began Ronnie’s skin building regime slowly, initially she used Osmosis MD Cleanse, Osmosis MD Boost, Rescue, Digestive Health Harmonised Water, Aspect Gold SMC. Once her skin was strong enough she started on her Vitamin A serum, the Osmosis MD Calm and was then able to begin her Vitamin A Facial Infusions. By this time her skin had much improved immunity, moisture retaining ability and was sufficiently strong enough to not be irritated by stimulating treatments.
Treatments
- Prior to beginning her Vitamin A infusions, Ronnie had a series of Medi-facials and Lactobotanical treatments. These enhanced her home care results, really working on the hydration and strength of her skin.
- Generally each treatment was 4 weeks apart.
Note: Sometimes we think that we need to be harsh on our skin, scraping away the bad skin and stimulating the skin, however Rosacea is a condition where the skin is impaired so it is best to move slowly. It takes time to repair.
**in the images above the “after treatment” one is more recent – months after she began working on her skin.
Ebonie’s story
Rosacea isn’t just a skin condition that occurs in our older years, it can happen as early as our late teens- early twenties. Early diagnosis and knowledge, combined with an individualised treatment from your Skin Care Advisor can help to keep this condition under control.
One of our clients Ebonie, suffers from rosacea and is in her early thirties. Thankfully, we have seen some great results with her skin as she has stuck to a good homecare routine and looks after her skin with regular treatments. Here are some before and after photos of the lovely Ebonie.
Treatment
- After prepping on her Vitamin A, Calm, she has been having regular Vitamin A infusions. Her skin didn’t require as much building up and nourishment as Ronnie’s – partly due to her younger age and partly due to the stage of her Rosacea.
Products
- Ebonie has been using Osmosis MD Cleanse, Calm, Osmosis MD Boost, Aspect Gold SMC, Cosmedix Reflect, Pure Enzymes, and Cosmedix Eye Genuis.

What great results, how long did Ebonie results take? Can the same plan be used for a dehydrated skin. Thanks

The short answer is yes, Rosacea skin’s are seldom not dehydrated and so step one is healing the skin so it retains its moisture more efficiently. Once this is effected a series of Vitamin A infusions is a good choice of treatment which is what Ebonie had over 3 months. Every individual is different so a time frame can not be guaranteed.
