This week we are looking at Vitamin B skin care options. Vitamin B continues to be one of our top selling serums, and here you will find out why.
What are Vitamin B serums?
Vitamin B is a wonderful vitamin for skin care because it is so versatile. Not only does it perform so many beneficial functions for the skin on its own, it complements other skin care ingredients to boost their power.
B group vitamins are an essential nutrient – our body needs them for growth and well-being. However they cannot be made or stored in the body, so we need to be continuously consuming them through our diet, plus applying them topically via our skin care serums. Deficiencies in B vitamins are often first seen in the skin. Which can be in the form of redness, irritation, dermatitis or even pigmentation. This has led skin care developers to enhance the use of topical Vitamin B to provide a wide range of skin benefits.
The most influential Vitamin B group in skin is B3 or niacinamide. It’s easily absorbed by the skin, so it gets straight to work deep in the layers where it’s needed, normalising the pH of the surface of the skin and increasing blood flow. This, in turn, means you receive more nutrients and oxygen to the skin, which simply helps with all skin functions.
What will Vitamin B skin care do for your skin?
- Normalises skin surface pH which helps with both dry skins and oily ones.
- A reduction in redness.
- A reduction of yellowing and sallowness.
- A brightening of your skin.
- A decrease in hyper-pigmented spots.
- Smoother skin that is more even-textured.
- A refining of pore size by regulating sebum production – great for oily and acne skins.
- A reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.
- Plumper skin with improvement of moisture retention by strengthening the outermost layers of the skin.
For problem skin, dry dehydrated, acne and inflamed, red or rosacea patients, this vitamin will improve their skin barrier function, as well as increase their tolerance to topical retinoids (Vitamin A). Ageing skins and those with sun damage will also reap the benefits of the combination of niacinamide and Vitamin A.
There is a reason why all our clients receive a combination Vitamin B serum application after our clinical procedures! It stimulates healing properties within the skin, calms and hydrates, and gives a luminosity to dull skin. We love it and would be surprised if you didn’t too.
Who can use Vitamin B skin care?
