There are so many ways to make yourself feel refreshed with life, and as many of you know, colour is a great way to do it! Quick and easily changeable, unlike so many commitments in our lives these days.
In nature as the seasons change we are surrounded by different colours. Autumn is of course a particularly spectacular time, green becomes orange/red/brown for many plants around us, so beautiful! This is also reflected around us as makeup, clothing and homewares as the colours and patterns change to reflect the new season ahead.
As well as nourishing your skin with moisture as the Autumn colours change, don’t forget that colour can mentally give us that uplift that reminds us to live in the present! Our beautiful Kirsty reminded us of this in the office this month as she embraced her new hair colour scheme to celebrate Autumn, so we have decided to celebrate it also.
To your left, you can see two very different looks – light vs dark. Such a simple yet dramatic change!
Kirsty LOVES her Colorescience Even Up and Colorescience Sunforgettable Brush (medium) as a foundation base, as they can be layered to create a light day look that gives her daily sun protection. She adds the Colorescience Pressed Mineral Foundation Compact for a full coverage evening look.
Her Osmosis Colour Eye Shadow Trios include the Bronzed Cocoa, Evergreen and Sugar Plum palettes, which she makes full use of as each option provides 3 different shades. Having the trio palettes gives you the option of (1) a colour to add for a quick look (2) a light colour to add highlights to your natural contours (3) a darker colour to add depth (particularly in the evenings or for those wearing glasses). Kirsty is a big fan of the black Osmosis Eye Colour Pencil, loves to finish her eyes with the Osmosis Curling Colour Mascara and the Osmosis Colour Brow Gel in Taupe to finish her eyebrows.
Your lips are of course often the biggest statement that you make with your face. We are trained from a young age to subconsciously watch lips for language and emotions! Kirsty has used the Aura and Pink Sapphire Osmosis Lip Glosses for her light look and the Brazilian Nut for her dramatic red lipstick.
Whatever you are enjoying this season, don’t forget that ‘a change is as good as a holiday’, and colour is so readily accessible to enjoy guilt free! Enjoy the changing leaves and changing colours around you!
