From sunlight, to pollution, to free radicals, ColoreScience is going way beyond UV. They’re obsessively overprotective about preventing skin damage. And that’s exactly why we love them! Skincare battles are best won before they are fought. Because investing in scientific innovation now, means we won’t have to pay the price for free radical damage later. Check out our fav’ products in our ColoreScience review below…
When it comes to sunscreen, ColoreScience believes that it should be a purely physical relationship—not a chemical one. Because the best defence is a mineral sun care offense. Their range of makeup products are zinc based, non comedogenic, contain no nasties and give a flawless, even, healthy coverage.
From liquid foundations, to quick and easy on-the-go powder brushes , ColoreScience literally has you covered.

Meg’s Colorescience Review
“Guys I feel as though this little makeup thing that I am about to review has been LIFE CHANGING for me! It is so good that I cannot believe that it took me so long to catch on to it. Actually there are two things in the ColoreScience range that I am absolutely loving right now, but the main thing that I am going to review is the Total Protection Sunforgettable Brush.
What is it:
The ColoreScience Total Protection Sunforgettable Brush is a mineral powder makeup that comes in a brush.
As with all the ColoreScience products, it offers SPF protection and this one is SPF 15 broad spectrum (UVA and UVB coverage).
How to use it:
The mineral powder is stored in the handle of the brush and you tap it down to the end where it is dispensed through a brush. It’s so easy and convenient. The powder is super fine and goes on very smoothly. It offers lovely fine coverage, although you can layer to cover more.
What I love about it:
I love that it is quick and easy, offers light coverage with one layer but mostly that it is SPF 15. While I still use sunscreen underneath, I love that it is helpful for my excess oily skin as it mattifies (I live in humidity) and that if I go out, I can leave it in my bag and reapply.
Who is it suited to:
Everyone, if the colour suits you. It comes in Fair, Medium, Tan and Deep. I use tan, which is a very true colour to my natural skin shade.
I recommend this to older clients who are not so interested in makeup but want the extra security of added SPF protection but with a lovely even natural coverage.
What I also love in the ColoreScience range:
I am very minimal when it comes to makeup, and so I love the ColoreScience Mineral Eye and Brow Palette. All mineral, this is great for eyeshadow, eyeliner, brows and blush – all in an easy convenient kit. I love this for a super natural look. The natural eye shadow colours really work to widen your eyes. The colours would suit pretty much everyone too.
If you are like me and get sunburnt lips, the ColoreScience Sunforgettable Lip Shine is a great lip gloss in pretty colours that is SPF 15.
And lastly, I have always used ColoreScience Total Eye. It’s a three in one; eye concealer, SPF 15 and eye cream. I will never not use this for day time use. Great for dark circles and can be worn without any other makeup, which is how I often wear it. It blends very well.
Please note that some of the packaging with ColoreScience may state that the SPF rating is SPF 30 (such as the Total Eye). In Australia, our SPF rating system is a lot more stringent, and so we advertise on our website that the SPF rating is SPF 15).”

Julie’s Colorescience Review
“I love the Colorescience Mascara. I actually recommended it to my Mum, before I had ever used it myself, as my learned work colleague at the time had told me, it didn’t contain a certain ingredient that causes irritation (and no, I cannot for the life of me remember what that ingredient was). Mum’s eyes are quite sensitive, and she had never been able to find a mascara that didn’t irritate, until she tried Colorescience Mascara I’m so glad I introduced her to it, and I am now a firm addict as well. If you are an eye rubber, like me, It doesn’t smudge, and you don’t get those tiny, miniscule black dust drops under your eyes, that really don’t look like tiny, miniscule black dust drops, when you look in the mirror, more like spots you’d see on a Dalmatian. It’s so easy to remove as well, and comes off with any of the multitude of my favourite cleansers.😊 It contains peptides to nourish and condition and prevent breakage, and it has a great application brush, some of them can feel like you are using dental floss, not this one.
So if you have eyes that easily irritate, I can highly recommend the Colorescience Mascara, and even if your eyes aren’t sensitive to products, like mine, it really is a wonderful mascara.”

Phillipa’s Colorescience Review
“I’m a little obsessed with sun protection after having thin skin that burns easily due to medical issues. It used to mean that no matter what sunscreen I used, I’d start to feel hot and red after 5 minutes. I became the mad big hat and shirt lady who was always covered up from head to toe. While my skin has improved now, I love trying new sunprotection options to see how they feel. I’m sure you can imagine the thick white gloopy options my doctors used to recommend. In no way non-greasy and dry-touch, no matter what they said…
I’ve tried the Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield. Knowing that I love and always have their sunforgettable brush handy for work days, I was curious if this could be my new handbag SPF option. It works using their EnvioScreen technology, and uses micro mineral protection. It’s a runny cream with a slight nude tint. Having white/pink/freckled skin, often this means too yellow for me, but this cream soaks in without showing the colour. After a few minutes it feels dry to touch and not at all greasy. The tube is easy to use and small enough to easily slip in my handbag – ab0ut the size of my hand.
It’s definitely not leaving my handbag soon, it’s actually surprised me with how nice it feels. It has a slight sunscreen scent and is an anti0xidant rich formula, so while I know I’m wearing sun protection, it’s doing more than protecting my skin. Totally a winner for me!”

Rosie’s Colorescience Review
“I use the Colorescience Mineral Corrector Palette every day for my dark circles and any blemish’s that might pop up. I like that this product doesn’t feel like it’s drying out around my eyes, and I usually only need a small amount to feel brighter and looking more alive. As it is a mineral formula, it is lightweight, doesn’t clog pores and contains nourishing vitamin e and carrot seed oil, this means my skin is protected and nourished. It’s definitely a palette I always have in my makeup bag.”
