Brightening Product Review

Brightening Product Review

The way we’ve lived our life so far leaves a trail on our skin… a pigmentation artwork so to speak, each unique. UV exposure, hormonal changes, acne and scarring occur over time, and we’re left with the after-effects. What’s actually happening is changes to the melanin in our skin. Guess what though, scientists have found so many amazing ingredients that reduce these changes, and thus, check out our latest brightening product review! We’ve just had an influx of products, but also many that we love already…

Do you want brighter, glowier, healthier looking skin?  Of course you do!!

Well do I have the product for you!  Osmosis MD Catalyst AC-11 DNA repair serum. Guaranteed to reduce pigmentation and even skin tone, this serum is suitable for use on all skin types. If you suffer from broken capillaries or skin tags, this product is a great addition to your skin care routine. It can also help with scarring, reducing damage and making fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation issues less visible.  All these effects will leave you with brighter looking skin!

The look and feel

Well guys, I do have to warn you – this serum is thicker than your average serum and it is dark brown/orange in colour.  So if you have super fair skin, it can leave a little colour residue – but fear not!  This is easily counteracted by applying it with Osmosis MD Boost.  A peptide and antioxidant rich activating mist, which assists in better absorption of serums as well as adding vitamins and minerals to the skin.  If you don’t want to use something like this, Catalyst AC-11 can be diluted by simply applying a moisturiser over the top!

The benefits

  • Clinically Proven: Increases elasticity by 110%
  • 15% tightening of the eyelids
  • Improves skin radiance and luminosity by 32%
  • Reduces broken capillaries and redness by 64%

This brilliant serum is also great for skin tags (just apply and cover with a bandaid!)  There are so many things to love about this multifaceted serum – brightening is just one of them.

“Now, I’ve always had lots of freckles, and always just accepted that’s who I am. What I didn’t expect was a splattering of dark patches under my eyes after giving birth to my gorgeous girls… and I’ll admit I’m not so impressed. Thankfully working here, I understand what’s happening, but I’d hoped they’d fade like they sometimes do, nope. Not a chance. Now, I’ve been having lots of fun trying the NEW options, and I’m going to give you a quick rundown… as their are so many. You’ll have to forgive me though, as I don’t have a favourite yet as they’re all too new!!!

Osmosis MD Perfection

Perfection’s duo formulas fade dark spots and brighten skin by using tyrosinase inhibitors to reduce the production of melanin in the skin and natural brighteners reveal a more even complexion. Perfection’s active ingredients address unwanted sun or liver spots, reduce acne scars, and gently brightens hyperpigmentation, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun spots, liver spots, and melasma.

My thoughts

This is a super-luxe serum. The dual pump is cool to use and the product has a slight chemical smell, so you feel like you’re really taking action. We LOVE Osmosis and you won’t be disappointment with this serum.

Mesoestetic Brightening Complex Plus

This is 4 weeks of intensive antioxidant, revitalizing and brightening treatments. A concentrated solution with 15% Vitamin C that stimulates the skin’s protection against free radicals, delaying premature aging. Its improved formula includes active ingredients that promote epidermal renewal, revealing a revitalized and bright skin.

My thoughts

Now, this is your shock treatment if you’ve left it too long (or never) and you want to kick start your skin. This serum is more about the boosting benefits of vitamin C, and will move your skin in the right direction.

PCA Skin Pigment Gel Pro

PCA Skin Pigment Gel ProExperience a visibly dramatic reduction in the appearance of stubborn discoloration. This advanced, dermatologically tested corrective helps fade the size and intensity of dark spots while helping protect against the appearance of new dark spots. Its industry-leading, hydroquinone-free formula is powered by the proprietary SynerPro Complex, which uses multiple modes of action to effectively target discoloration for all skin types and tones. The result is skin that appears more even and bright with continued use.

My thoughts

This is definitely has the chemical smell that says ‘I’m taking action’ serum!!! You really feel like you’re targeting your skin, and it leaves a very slight sticky residue (I just added moisturiser afterwards like you would anyway and was all good). I even have some pictures of the results for this one from PCA Skin…

Conclusion

Can you feel I’m only getting started??? Well, we also have our previous products which were already great, such as Aspect Dr Complete Pigment Plus, Osmosis MD Rescue and Catalyst AC11, CosMedix Elite X-Cell, Societe Brightening Serum and more… I’m sure I’m missing some, but this is just from memory.

Zoe’s Product Review

Zoe Product Review

I’m super excited to be reviewing the Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask this week, as my favourite skin brightening product!

This has very quickly become one of my absolute must haves! Firstly, it comes down to how beautiful and lush this mask feels massaging into the skin, I have never come across another product to feel so divine! Not to mention the glow it leaves my skin after use, looking brighter and clearer!

The way this product works really fascinates me, as it uses enzymes which are like little Pac-men that chomp away at dead skin cells, whilst not impacting the newer healthier cells underneath, unlike a chemical or manual exfoliation. If you use a lot of products with active ingredients, you will only need to use the mask once a week, and you may not tend to feel as much ‘pilling’, which are the tiny little balls of dead skin you can feel on your fingertips as you massage the product in. However, somebody needing a little more assistance with their skin cell turnover process, you may want to use this 2-3 times a week.

Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask contains a powerful blend of natural extracts, including Papain from papaya fruits, and Bromelain from pineapple. This exfoliating mask is also infused with Aloe Vera, which has an extremely high water content, to hydrate and calm the skin. It also blends Kakadu Plum, Coffee Berry and Acai Berry, all of which offer exceptional antioxidant protection to shield the skin from free radical damage.

I honestly wish I could use this mask every single day, I just love it that much! If you have extremely sensitive, reactive skin, and you are reading this and had lost all hope for being able to use any type of exfoliation, I seriously recommend to give this ago!
