Vitamin C Skincare Review

Vitamin C Product Review

Vitamin C!  Quite possibly the greatest of all vitamins in skincare.  Why?  Well, it brightens, repairs, protects and even outs the skin tone and texture, as well as stimulating collagen, making it great for fine lines and wrinkles.  So if you’re not using a vitamin C serum, why not??!! Read this week’s vitamin C skincare review for our favourite serums and creams…

“Société’s Triple C Vitamin Therapy serum has been a long time love of mine.  This is one of the most underrated products on our shelves, and I wish more people would use it, because it’s truly amazing.  As soon as you pump it into your hands you will get the lovely citrus scent, follows by a luxurious feel when applied to your face.  It’s a little like a thin oil, so it glides on beautifully and absorbs quickly.

The Société Triple C serum contains a unique blend of three different types of vitamin C for ultimate long-lasting results.

Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ascorbyl Glucoside, and Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate are the three stars of the show in the specially formulated Societe Triple C Serum. Not only does each type of vitamin C provide powerful effects on its own, but together they form a potent synergistic anti-ageing compound. In addition, the triple threat also improves the overall look of the skin giving your skin a more youthful and healthier glow.

Special peptides penetrate deep beneath the skin’s surface to smooth fine lines and wrinkles while improving natural collagen production. Innovative apple stem cells provide a unique approach to combat the obvious signs of ageing.

Société Skin Triple C offers unprecedented antioxidants to protect your skin and delicate eye area against UVA/UVB and DNA damage. To top it off, the Triple C can also reduce discoloration and help regulate pigmentation helping you keep an even skin tone.

Since using this serum, I have noticed a much more even tone and texture, less fine lines, and an overall healthier looking skin.  Although more expensive than some of our other brands, this serum is well worth the extra money, and although we stock many great C serums, this is the one I always come back to.”

“I’ve been using Dermalist All-Serum over the past few weeks to try to make my skincare routine simpler. It’s a cream and comes out in small amounts, so I won’t use it up too quickly. It contains 15 active ingredients, including vitamin B & C, 7 Peptides, Hyaluronic, Squalane and Lactic Acid. Better yet, this serum is made in Melbourne, so it’s local and uses 100% recyclable packaging, is vegan and cruelty free. What a mouthful!!! Let’s face it, if you’re trying to be kind to the planet, use less and yet still get great results, this is it. It’s been strange not using so many products, but my skin’s been feeling firm and hydrated, so it’s surely a win.

While this product includes vitamin C, I must say there’s still something awesome about using Aspect Dr Active C… that burst of citrus in the morning is just so nice! I’m loving not using lots of different products, as is my pocket. Buuuut, I really do like Active C.”

Mesoestetic Age Element is a luscious new range our clinic has recently started stocking. The Brightening array of products are a divine upgrade from the original Energy C Range.

With this being said, I’ve recently added the Age Element Brightening Cream to my skincare routine. This is a beautiful light-weight cream enriched with Vitamin C, Niacinamide, and Hyaluronic Acid, leaving you looking brighter, radiant and more even toned.

This Brightening cream is the perfect treatment for hyperpigmentation and the first signs of early aging, and is suitable for those experiencing dullness, loss of colour, or uneven skin tone.

Let’s talk more about the active ingredients:

  • Vitamin C – adds antioxidant protection, boosts glow and promotes collagen production.
  • Niacinamide – also known as Vitamin B3, helps minimise pores, improves appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and helps even out skin tone.
  • Hyaluronic Acid – keeps skin hydrated, looking plump and juicy.

To receive maximum results, we recommend pairing this Brightening Cream with other products from the Mesoestetic Age Element Brightening Range such as the Age Element Brightening Concentrate, and the Age Element Brightening Eye Contour.

I’ve loved adding this cream into my routine, morning and night. It feels lovely to rub into the skin. My partner also enjoys using it and even commented on the pleasant scent!
