Vitamin B Skincare Review

Vitamin B Product Review Banner

Vitamin B is one of the greatest serums for brightening up your complexion.  It gives you a sunnier glow with a more even tone – and this is due to niacinamide – that wondrous little ingredient that regulates pigmentation.  Not only can it do all that, but Vitamin B also regulates oil production, making it great for those who suffer breakouts caused by excess oil and congestion.  And if that isn’t enough – Vitamin B superchargers all your other products, making them work more efficiently.

Suitable for all skin types, Vitamin B is one of our all time best sellers in the clinic, and this week you can read about which ones we all use and love.

Meg’s Vitamin B Review

“Hands down, the best Vitamin B serum I have used is Aspect Dr Multi B Plus. I use this morning and night on my face and on the backs of my hands, and not to toot my own horn, but the skin on the backs of my hands is pretty good considering I am in the sun every day.

This B serum combines the essential B vitamins, niacinamide as well as calming marine plant ingredients that calm the skin and strengthen the barrier.  I absolutely love this serum and the difference I see when I don’t use it is significant.  Although this is one of the more popular B serums we sell, the Medik8 Hydrate B5 and SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 serums are also best sellers.”

Julie Product Review

Julie’s Vitamin B Review

If you want skin that’s smoother, brighter, and more resilient than a cockroach in a nuclear apocalypse, do yourself a favour (oh you again Molly)and get yourself some Vitamin B serum. Your skin will thank you, your mirror will thank you, and hey, maybe your partner, children, someone will notice… and thank you!

I am obsessed with Aspect Dr Multi B Plus and have been for quite a while. It is one that I will stop using once the container is empty, and then I don’t replace it until I think, hang on, when did my skin start looking dull and blah? Oh yeah, when I ran out of Multi B Plus.

It has more than one type of vitamin B, hence the name Multi B and ‘Plus’ for the extra beautifying ingredients from Mum Nature herself, to protect, nourish and balance.

I always think of a vitamin B product with three words starting with B, brighten, boost and barrier. This beauty works towards visibly brightening your skin,  so your complexion will glow naturally, boost blood flow and therefore boost the effectiveness of your other serums, and it strives to strengthen and protect your skin barrier.

Everyone should be using a B, if nothing else!

Pip Product Review

Pip’s Vitamin B Review

“I feel like vitamin B is often overlooked in our skincare routines, we refer to it as your brightening booster in the clinic. You might want to check your skincare though, it might already be an unsung hero in your cupboard! Even our Airyday Pretty In Zinc includes niacinamide.

What’s so great about vitamin B?

Vitamin B, particularly niacinamide (vitamin B3), can help improve blood flow in the skin. Niacinamide has been shown to cause vasodilation, which is the widening of blood vessels, leading to increased blood flow to the skin. This improved circulation can enhance the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to skin cells, promoting overall skin health and radiance. Additionally, niacinamide’s anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce redness and inflammation, further supporting healthy blood flow and contributing to a more even complexion.

My go to vitamin B

I’ve actually got a few gems in my cupboard right now which includes vitamin B, but the one I’m really LOVING is the recently updated Aspect Dr Complete Pigment Plus Age Support. Now, this is a gem on SO MANY LEVELS! It’s a game-changer for mature skin. This powerful serum contains both vitamin B and C, as well as other active ingredients. Effectively reducing discolouration, age spots, and wrinkles, leaving the skin looking brighter and more youthful. With added skin barrier-strengthening features, it’s perfect for those with sensitised or hormonally imbalanced skin.

If you’re looking for that ‘one product’ in the morning that can benefit you in a multitude of ways, then this is it.”

Sophie Product Review

Sophie’s Vitamin B Review

The Aspect Dr Multi B is a very popular product at our clinic. I thought that I should try it out to see what all the buzz was about! I used it for a few weeks and I did notice that my skin was brighter and felt healthier. I stopped using it as I just didn’t reach for it. I know that a Vitamin B is one of the main things you should be using in your skin care as it helps restore your skin’s barrier. Upon writing this I will be adding it back into my routine as I know it is a must!

Zoe Product Review

Zoe’s Vitamin B Review

I am not using a Vitamin B on its own currently. However, I am using Toskani Radiance Ultimate Mesoserum which contains Niacinamide, (B3) plus other fantastic ingredients all for improving skin health, brightening and evening skin tone.

Since using Toskani Radiance, I have noticed improvements in my skin luminosity, hydration, and texture. The serum’s lightweight texture absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and revitalised. Over time, the complexion appears more even toned, with reduced hyperpigmentation and enhanced radiance.

Let’s talk about some of the results we can expect to see once using a vitamin B:

  • Improved Skin Texture: Vitamin B serum, particularly niacinamide (B3), can help smooth rough skin texture, reducing the appearance of bumps and unevenness.
  • Enhanced Hydration: Ingredients like panthenol (B5) attract moisture to the skin, helping to hydrate and plump the skin, resulting in a more supple and youthful appearance.
  • Reduced Pore Size: Niacinamide in vitamin B serum can help minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, leading to smoother-looking skin.
  • Even Skin Tone: Vitamin B serum can help fade dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and redness, leading to a more even and balanced skin tone.
  • Decreased Redness and Inflammation: Niacinamide has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help calm irritated skin and reduce redness caused by acne or other inflammatory conditions.
  • Strengthened Skin Barrier: Biotin (B7) supports the skin’s natural barrier function, helping to strengthen and protect it from environmental stressors and moisture loss.
  • Reduced Signs of Aging: Vitamin B serum can help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time, promoting a smoother and more youthful complexion.

Overall, regular use of a vitamin B serum can result in healthier, more radiant-looking skin with improved texture, hydration, and tone, as well as a reduction in various skin concerns such as acne, redness, and signs of ageing.
