Dry skin on your face is common for many people, especially during the winter months. Cold temperatures, low humidity, and indoor heating can all contribute to dryness and tightness in the skin, making it look dull and lifeless. When trying to find skincare for dry skin, there are several options available.
One option is to use a moisturiser that is specifically designed for dry skin. Look for moisturisers that contain ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, glycerin, or shea butter, as these ingredients can help to hydrate the skin and lock in moisture.

Meg’s Skincare for Dry Skin
“I love nothing more than when my face looks and feels plump, hydrated and dewy. To achieve this, I swear by two brilliant products:
Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask. You might think that it sounds a bit odd to use an exfoliator if you are experiencing dry skin, but exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells that can clog pores and contribute to dryness. Use a gentle exfoliating scrub once or twice a week to slough off dead skin cells and reveal brighter, smoother skin, that will properly absorb serums and moisturisers. Just be sure not to over-exfoliate, as this can irritate the skin and cause further dryness. The Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask is the perfect exfoliator for dry skin. It uses enzymes, rather than granules, making it gentle yet super effective.
PCA Hyaluronic Acid Overnight Mask. Once you use this, you will always have it in your routine. It is designed to drench your skin in moisture, so you’ll wake up looking and feeling dewey and fresh. You can use this as a moisturiser, but I add it over the top of my night time moisturiser (I use Aspect Super Moisturising Complex or Aspect Dr Resveratrol). I like how it locks in the moisture and glides on like silk. Not only does it feel amazing, the smell is absolutely divine.”

Julie’s Skincare for Dry Skin
“Although I rarely suffer dry skin on my face, my old body is a completely different matter!! Particularly my legs. So I’m going to talk about my favourite body moisturisers that we have in store, and there are quite a few, but I think I’ll try and whittle it down to my absolute favourites, so as not to confuse you, and not to confuse myself as well. I constantly switch from one to another, and often forget which one is really doing the best job in terms of hydrating, but I will try my best to differentiate for you… and for me.
Currently I’m using We Are Feel Good Inc. Wild Rosella Body Milk which smells divine, and I actually prefer it to the others I’ve tried (and loved) from the same range, the Coco Milk and Kakadu Plum Body Milks. I do love the aroma of Wild Rosella, but I think for optimal hydration for aging skin there are better alternatives, although for someone in their 20’s, 30’s, even 40’s, this range would be ideal for tackling dry skin. Another one I really like is the Osmosis MD Rejuvenating Body Cream. This one is on the pricier side but lasts forever and feels expensive and luxurious. It is packed with humectants and emollients for the ultimate in hydration. The problem is I gave it to my daughter to try and never got it back!! So it’s obviously just as good for younger skin too, and I know it lasts forever ‘cause she is still using it! But you know what?, writing this review has established my real fave in combating dry skin, it’s all coming back to me people! Funny how old brains work, back to front, sideways and upside down.
Aspect Pigment Punch Body oh my goodness, where did I leave that tube, I’m sure there was some left in it. Ooh, I could get the new 220ml size! Geez I’m a twirp, I recall myself thinking, mmm, my skin is feeling so soft and smooth and hydrated, and no lizard-like skin in sight, so… what the… why aren’t I using this one right now?!! It’s full of nourishing, hydrating ingredients like shea butter, plus, of course, tackles pigmentation too… which I suffer on my shins!! Geeez again!! I remember saying to myself, wow!, my pigment has dissipated a lot on my legs… oh for crying out loud!”

Pip’s Skincare for Dry Skin
“My skin is so much drier now I’ve hit my 40’s. While it makes me want to cry – saying goodbye to perpetually soft skin, it’s time to admit the truth. My skin loves extra moisture now that it’s hit perimenopause. With this in mind I decided it was the perfect time to try something new!
Medik8 have recently brought out a two step hyaluronic and moisturiser combo. It’s their H.E.O. mask and I must admit I’m really impressed. It’s designed to give your the perfect combination of humectants (H), emollients (E) and occlusives (O) – hence the name. The first mask is a gel and the second is a luxurious cream – you layer them and leave them on overnight and ta-da! Wake up with soft and plump skin! I’m totally converted, and if you’re looking for a way to get the right balance, this is a great addition to your routine.”

Zoe’s Skincare for Dry Skin
“Overnight skin miracles don’t get any better than the PCAskin Hyaluronic Acid Overnight Mask! An advanced hydrating treatment that rejuvenates the skin whilst you sleep. Wake up feeling hydrated, fresh and with the softest skin imaginable! You really do achieve a spa-like experience at home as part of your self-care routine by adding this beauty into your regime.
This is a perfect addition as we are entering our colder months, I only need to use this once or twice a week currently as my skin is not overly dry, however as we go into winter, I know I will be increasing this as my skin gets dryer.
Benefits
- Deeply hydrates and rejuvenates the skin overnight.
- Reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and increases skin’s moisture content.
- Improves skin barrier function.
- Minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Boosts skin’s radiance and luminosity.
- Helps calm and soothe, to encourage deep restful sleep.
The texture of the product is gel-like and because it is a water-based product, it absorbs very quickly, feeling very light weight when applying. I really love the type of packaging of this product as the pump mechanism allows you to be able to select how much product you want, opposed to other masks that come flying out or the pump dispenses too much, and you end up wasting half your product.
This is the perfect addition leading into our Winter months. My skin feels hydrated, plump and so incredibly soft after using this product.”

Sophie’s Dry Skin Review
“Aspect Dr Resveratrol Moisturiser is one of our most popular products and was the first moisturiser I tried from the clinic. I love it! It is creamy but feels light on my skin. I have combination skin, my T-zone gets oily but overall my face can feel dry. I dislike thick moisturisers that leave your skin feeling greasy, but this is the opposite, I find it absorbs really well and hydrates and nourishes my skin.
It’s an added bonus that it protects my skin from environmental damage! It also stimulates collagen growth so it’s anti-aging! Overall, this product has given my skin an amazing hydrated healthy glow!”
