Meg’s Favourite Beauty Indulgence
“I am not really someone that is into ‘beauty’ as such. While I love to have good products for clear skin, you certainly won’t find me wearing the latest makeup trends or getting my nails done. That is not what our clinic is about. We are all about the health of your skin. Our ultimate goal is to have women (and men) feel good without makeup and the best compliments we get are the ones where people tell us that for the first time in years, they have let their friends see them bare faced.
But even so, there are certain beauty indulgences that we all love, even if it is not a regular thing. Mine is, by far and away, having a spray tan.
I love being tanned, the instant healthy glow is very addictive. I tan easily, but living in Tassie means that for most of the year, I need to rely on fake tan and the one I love is the Three Warriors Spray Tan. The colour is perfect, it doesn’t dry out my skin and it smells lovely. I have a spray tan machine, but if you don’t, the Three Warriors Tanning Mousse gives the same colour in a quick and easy to apply solution. You can even get one of their tanning mitts to make application easier. I have also used their gradual tan, which is perfect to build colour over a few days.
So if you’re feeling (or looking) a little ‘blue’ and need a little pick me up, jump online and have a look at the Three Warriors Tanning range!”

Julie’s Favourite Beauty Indulgence
“Favourite beauty indulgence?… mmm, I’m pretty self indulgent, so another difficult one, especially when you have easy access to so many awesome products.
What comes to mind though is that I have recently rediscovered my spa bath.
We jumped on the spa bath wagon trend in the 90’s when renovating our bathroom, used it a couple of times then that was it, forgotten. But in the last couple of months, after remembering it was there, I’ve been allocating one evening a week to pampering, while relaxing in a deep bath with jets of water pummelling me all over, and it’s sooo nice! Even though it reminds me I need to tone up something chronic, there’s way too much wibble wobble goin’ on.
I take in my cleanser, at the moment I’m using the gorgeous Osmosis MD Cleanse, an exfoliant, either Aspect Illuminating Polish or Three Warriors Tasmanian Sand Scrub, both of these are great for both face and body. Plus a mask or two, and because I would have used an exfoliant, I’ll pop on a moisturising one like Aspect Probiotic Mask or Hydrating Mask, and then a body moisturiser to apply as soon as I’m out, like Eco Tan Coconut Body Milk. I usually wash first, then turn on the jets for a while, to really heat up and soften the skin, switch them off, do my thing, turn it back on, lie back and let the mask do ITS thing. It’s amazing how different you look afterwards, any tension in the face has been relaxed, and your skin seems to have that warm glow, and if I’m using either of the aforementioned masks, I just leave them on to keep working away while I sleep.
I’m pretty happy I remembered the forgotten spa bath, but now I need to remember to do something about the forgotten wibble wobble.”

“Can you guess what my fav’ beauty indulgence is? I’ve said this before recently and it’s still true… the CosMedix sheet mask! There’s something really lovely about sitting back on the couch with the cool feeling of this mask. Now, if I’m really going to go all-out, then I’d have just had my shower and used the Three Warriors Sand Scrub followed by the Eco Tan Winter Skin moisturiser. That way my face would be looking plump and calm, and my skin would literally be glowing the next day also! Now, if Meg had said what’s the one beauty indulgence you really want to try – it’d have to be the CosMedix Lumi Crystal, I’m sure you’d all agree!!! ooooh-la-la!”
Megan’s Favourite Beauty Indulgence
“A beauty indulgence is something that you don’t do all that often, but makes you feel great afterward. The first thing that came to mind for me, is oddly applying fake tan! I have very pale skin, so nothing makes me feel ‘fresher’ than returning from a trip to the Maldives (using half a tube of sunless Tan).
In saying this, there’s also nothing worse than tan that goes wrong. I have a three point checklist. First, my skin has to be really well prepped, nobody likes blotchy uneven tan that’s adhered to the ankles, knees, fingers etc. Secondly it has to be a good quality brand that gives a deep natural colour – no orange. Thirdly, I like it to be organic, and not have a nasty smell. My children will not let up about the smell if I was to use one of the cheaper brands.
When things go to plan, the process is:
First step I use The Eco Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub in the shower with a tanning mitt. I actually use this scrub regularly, even when I’m not using tan. It’s so nice to work into my knees and legs, especially during winter. It makes them feel silky!
I then apply Eco Tan Invisible Tan Crème’. This is a personal choice as I like a cream over a mousse, I feel like I have more control of the product and its richer for a dryer skin. I also use the Eco Tan Face Water, as I find this has the least affect on my skin care routine (the cream is too thick).
This process is very indulgent, and actually quite time consuming… no wonder I feel so great the next day. 😊”
