Meg’s Face & Body Scrub Review

Product Review Meg

“For the past 12 weeks, I have been using the full range of Dermalist – with wonderful results.  So today, I am reviewing their Ultra Soothing facial Exfoliant.

What is it?

This is a vegan and cruelty free exfoliant that uses biodegradable microbeads for a physical exfoliant and pomegranate enzymes for an enzymatic exfoliant.

How it works?

The microbeads work in a way to remove dead skin and grime by getting in and under dead skin cells as you massage it around your face and neck, removing debris.  The enzymes work to gently ‘dissolve’ dead skin, which is a really good option for those with sensitive skin.

How to use it?

This exfoliant can be used in two different ways, both on damp clean skin.  You can gently massage it in for thirty seconds (do not scrub), in a sweeping motion for a deeper exfoliation, or for those with sensitive or dry skin, you can apply it over your entire face and neck and leave it 30 seconds to a minute to allow the enzymes to work their magic.  Rinse with warm water.

Usage:

This exfoliator can be used once to twice per week.

Added information:

As with all Dermalist products, this exfoliant also contains anti-inflammatory ingredients, meaning that it is suitable for almost everyone, your skin will feel hydrated and soft after use and the results will last longer.

Follow up products:

I follow this with Dermalists AllSerum Skin Perfector and my daily moisturiser/SPF.”

Julie’s Face & Body Scrub Review

Product Review Julie

“When they were coming up with a name, for my go-to face and body scrub/exfoliator, the powers that be must have thought, what two words aptly describe what this product does? Shine and Buff…. Sparkle and Sheen? Noo!!!.. it’s for skin, not the dining table… Illuminate and Polish?, ohhhhh yes!, much better. And it does exactly that. Right from the first use you can literally see illumination of the skin, and that glowy, polished skin surface. I didn’t use Aspect Illuminating Polish all over initially, I have always been quite neglectful of the skin on my body, and I tend to get even lazier in that area in the Winter months. But when I did try it, I thought, whoa!!, what is wrong with me? Thirty seconds and you have rejuvenated the skin on your whole body, why wouldn’t you, you lazy so and so.. Even those horse hoofy heels look and feel smoother.

After that dressing down of myself, I now make an effort, at least once or twice a week, to not only use it on my face, but everywhere!

Aspect Illuminating Polish is a relatively new member of the Aspect family, I think it was introduced around the beginning of last year. It certainly lasts and lasts, I am only on my second bottle, so this is not only a beautiful product that delivers great results, it’s also economically fantastic.

Give it a try, I know it will become a staple in your skincare regime 😊”

Phillipa’s Face & Body Scrub Review

Product Review Phillipa

“I have a few scrubs that I absolutely love, but today I’m going to review my favourite. It’s actually the Three Warriors Tasmanian Sand Scrub, and it’s sooooo lovely to use on your body. I rub it into my elbows, knees, feet & hands in the shower and absolutely love it. Did I say I love it already?

So, what’s the deal? It’s a mix of coconut oil, aloe vera and sand. You’d think scrubbing your body would be too harsh, but due to the oil, it feels gentle and leaves your skin feeling super soft before you even moisturise. The sand is safe for the environment, cruelty free, vegan, Australian made and it’s full of organic goodness!

Of course, I don’t use this on my face. I have Aspect Illuminating Polish & CosMedix Purity Detox for that (I alternate depending on my mood) but as I don’t have a bath to soak and scrub in, I find this leaves my body with that “completely clean” feeling. Bonus is that when I use their gradual tan (due to Covid, not so much right now) I get a more even finish for longer.”

Meagan’s Face & Body Scrub Review

Product Review Meagan

The build up of dead skin cells is what causes our skin to look and feel lifeless, dull and dry.  This is why I use (and love) Osmosis MD Polish at least once a week. I prefer to use an enzyme mask to exfoliate, as it’s gentler on the skin, yet just as effective.

The main ingredient in Polish is Cranberries, so it has a beautiful zesty, fruity smell.  The fruit enzymes break down those dead skin cells, any flakiness and reveal a tight, fresh and polished skin! It’s really high in Vitamin C which is so important, as the antioxidants are constantly neutralising any free radical damage.

I like to use this before an event, going out for dinner, or just when my skin needs a good ‘buffing’. Apply Osmosis MD Tropical Mango Mask on straight after for the ultimate at home care. Your skin will feel so soft, clear and bright!

Rosie’s Face & Body Scrub Review

Product Review Rosie

“I love using CosMedix Purity Detox Scrub once a week when I do a mini facial on myself at home.

I would say it’s probably more suited to a combination/oily skin type as it contains salicylic acid. This beta hydroxy acid is oil soluble, this allows it to penetrate deep into clogged pores to give them a thorough clean out. It also has anti-inflammatory properties which is great for break outs/acne. As well as containing salicylic acid, Purity Detox Scrub also contains natural mechanical exfoliators, poppy, jojoba and date seeds. The thing that I love about these seeds are that they are round in shape (rather than irregularly shaped) and super gentle in the way that they buff away dead skin cells.

You end up feeling polished rather than irritated like other exfoliants can leave you feeling. Combine that with the salicylic acid and your skin is smoother, cleaner and brighter. ”
