There is nothing quite like the feeling of grabbing a bargain. Sometimes though, actually, quite a lot of the time, there are things that we really really, like really really want that are just a little out of our budget. Especially skin care. The old saying ‘you get what you pay for’ often rings true in this category. As clean, plant based and scientifically formulated ingredients don’t come cheap. But the results can be well worth the outlay, so check out our splurge product review for the top products that we cannot be without.
Meg’s Splurge Product Review
“When we had the opportunity to stock Omnilux at home LED devices, I was so happy, because I had wanted to have LED light therapy for so long. But with lockdown, then the cost of going into a clinic and having a series of treatments plus the time it would take, it just wasn’t looking like it was going to happen any time soon. But with Omnilux Contour, I can use it at home, 10 minutes a day and so far, I am really pleased with the results.
It took about 3 weeks to see any difference, and it was quite subtle at first. The overall tone of my skin was the first thing that I noticed – it became clearer, softer and more even.
At about the 5 week mark I noticed that the crows feet around my eyes had softened as well as the fine lines underneath my eyes.
I am now at the 7 week mark and I have been using it 5 times a week, for 10 minutes each session. My skin looks brighter, softer, more even and just healthier.
The science behind the Omnilux Contour is that it’s designed to provide optimised doses of red and infrared light to supercharge your body’s own natural cellular healing response, reversing your visible signs of ageing, such as fading pigmentation like sun spots, healing inflammation and redness and stimulating collagen to assist in skin firming.
It is really simple to use – just charge it up or plug it in and strap it around your head! It is comfortable, there is no down time and no redness after use.
Although it is expensive, it is well worth it if you are someone who uses good skin care but wants to take your skin to the next level.
Omnilux also has a specific device for those suffering acne, as well as a device for neck and hand rejuvenation.”

Julie’s Splurge Product Review
“The definition of ‘splurge’ is ‘an act of spending freely or extravagantly’. I guess this means the product I have in mind is a necessary splurge, a splurge of necessity.
Apologies, I have to be really serious about this review today, not that I’m not serious in my other reviews, they are all extremely truthful, but this one, I dunno, I feel that when you spend the big bucks, you want and expect the big rewards, and you can’t make light of that.
So down to business.
A few years ago, after an horrendous report on the state of my skin, whoopsy!, I had three serums from the Osmosis range, including Osmosis MD Stemfactor prescribed, and apart from maybe a few months, I have used them all religiously ever since. From the get go I saw improvement week after week, it was terribly exciting, but of course at the time I wasn’t sure which of the serums I was using was most beneficial. Of course I have since learned when using the combined forces of Osmosis MD products, that together they will work in synergy to target a plethora of skin issues. But when I did have that break from Stemfactor for those few months, it showed quite significantly on my skin. It became dull and lifeless, the texture changed, it wasn’t good. After I began to use it again, I slowly started to see the difference I was hoping for. Maybe Stemfactor is the ONLY serum I need? Hmmm… don’t think I’m brave enough to try that.
Stemfactor is formulated to restore the functionality of your skin, so where there is damage it will help heal and revitalise, deep in the skin tissue. If you have aging skin, any sun damage or dehydrated skin, you should definitely splurge on this product, do it today, you will be really, really glad you did, and so will your skin.
Serious hat off 🙂”

Phillipa’s Splurge Product Review
“Okay, my splurge product is pricey, thus it’s not in my bathroom right now. I’m hoping to do a visual diary of using for you this year, so you can see what it does to my skin. We rave about it all the time, and those of you looking for that extra “oomph” in your skincare are probably recommended it.
Yes, I’m talking about Osmosis MD Rescue.
It’s an epidermal skin repair serum and it smells a bit like chlorine. You start use it thinking – really, is this good for my skin? Then suddenly your HOOKED!!! Your skin simply looks sooooo good. Well mind does anyway. The last time I used it my pigmentation issues drastically lightened and the redness in my cheeks reduced. Because it’s more than I can afford every few months, I consider it a yearly pep-up that gets my skin moving in the right direction.
It contains Trioxolane, which both neutralises toxins, calms inflammation and heals wounds. It helps treat enlarged pores, age spots, and skin texture changes. They updated the formula last year, so not it also boosts your skins protection against UV and blue light damage.
I haven’t used this serum since they upgraded the ingredients, but I’ve been warned it’s harder to spread across your skin now, so often it’s used with Boost to make it easier to apply and show better results. Once you’ve seen the results from Rescue, you can’t go back!”
