Rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition without a known cause, just lots of theories, which can be highly unpleasant for those who have it. If you suffer from it your face feels constantly tight, your cheeks are red and become redder when your triggers are stimulated and you progressively become more sensitive to all skin care products.
It’s kind of one of those conditions that Doctors often don’t want to know about and that not a lot of research in the past has been done into. This is changing though!!!
Standard medical treatment for all rosacea includes low dose antibiotics and topical antibiotic gel. However our experience shows us that this treatment lasts for around 6 months and then the symptoms return with a vengeance – NOT FAIR!
For more information on this skin condition read here, including product and lifestyle recommendations.
What often isn’t being treated is the cause, only the symptoms – inflammation and pimples. By looking at gut health, gently cleaning the skin rather than scrubbing at it and providing the cells with plenty of essential nutrients plus epidermal growth factor and stem cell serums, the cells can actually change their abnormal function. This reverses the condition. I have seen it time and time again in the clinic though perseverance is the name of the game.
Here at the clinic we support our clients as their skin changes, and this is one condition that often requires a lot of support as results are slow and the skin can exhibit some fairly “weird” signs whilst it begins to change.
One of the most important factors in repairing the skin is to avoid nasty chemicals in personal care products. It is pointless mixing specific products with perfect ingredients if you then apply a thick chemical filled makeup when there is great makeup available for rosacea skin.
Eating healthily is essential and drinking at least 2 litres of water daily. We suggest all our rosacea clients take the Miesssence Superfood powders for at least 3 months (often longer) to help heal their gut inflammation. In our modern world it is virtually impossible to have a healthy gut and so these are a simply way to enhance your health and improve your skin.
Keeping your skin hydrated using serums and creams specifically containing growth factors and fatty acids to heal and rejuvenate.
As you can see it doesn’t need to be hard and the relief is so wonderful. I love the hugs I get when a client is happy to live in her (or his) skin once more.
