Societe Even Out contains 12 different skin brightening ingredients

The combination of Vitamin A and C is well known for improving the appearance of pigmentation. In this case, Retinyl Linoleate is combined with Ascorbyl Linoleate to give a brightening and refining of your skin.

In addition, peptides ensure this serum also assists age spots. Melanostatine®5 is a biomimetic peptide that blocks melanin synthesis, preventing further pigmentation from occurring. Added to Alpha-Arbutin, naturally found in the leaves of pear trees and certain herbs. This is an effective antioxidant and skin conditioner that also assists in reducing hyperpigmentation. While Chromabright also improves the appearance of uneven skin tone.

Kojic Acid is used to illuminate your skin. Balancing your skin tone and improving freckles cause by sun exposure. This is combined with many more natural ingredients that are specifically included to brighten and lighten your skin pigmentation issues. These are just a few of the 12 specific pigmentation targeting ingredients designed to leave you with lighter and brighter skin.

Why do you have pigmentation on your skin?

The colour or pigment in our skin is formed by a substance called melanin, which is produced by the melanocyte cells in the basal layer of our skin. This is the layer at the bottom of our epidermis that divides the epidermis from the very important dermis. The dermis is the layer containing all the structures that are alive in our skin, including blood vessels, nerves and our collagen and elastin. Within these melanocytes, melanin is derived from an amino acid called tyrosinase. Just 5-10% of our skin cells are melanocytes, with lighter skinned people having less. However, it is not the number of melanocytes that gives a person their skin colour, but the level of activity the melanocytes have. This activity is under hormonal control.
